‘Holy Bibles NFT‘ will launch its first charity-based non-fungible token (NFT) collection in March 2022. This is the initial stage of creating a Christian community in the Metaverse that aims to bring together believers from all over the world.
The project will mint 10 million Bible Cover NFTs, and one will be given to every person who makes a $6 donation. One hundred percent of the $60 million raised will be used for churches, Christian scholarships, and war relief.
A mint of the North American Free Trade will be posted on the Holy Bibles website in mid-March. A total of $10 million will be distributed to selected students worldwide from April onwards to help them focus on their studies and commit to God. A portion of the funds will also be distributed to selected churches starting in April.
It’s Only the Beginning
However, this is just the beginning of something far more significant. The Holy Bible’s Church will be built in the Metaverse in April. An initial goal of 100 million followers will make it the largest church in the world. There will be a place where Christians from around the world can gather, worship, and bond, united by faith.
A total of 2.38 billion people practice Christianity in some form. As a result, the idea of a place in the Metaverse where hundreds of millions of people can gather is both feasible and something we should aim for. They are scattered at present due to geopolitics and pandemics, and this is what makes having a place on Web 3.0 so desirable.
The global internet population is projected at 4.95 billion in 2022, which is about 62.5 percent of the global population. It is therefore essential that Christians have a place where they can gather, talk, and support each other. It’s the only thing like it available right now, which makes the project so important.
A decentralized autonomous organization structure, or DAO, will be used for the ‘Holy Bibles’ NFT in order to leverage the possibilities presented by the Metaverse in addition to replicating a real world community experience. The participants in this structure use governance tokens to decide on important topics, rather than a hierarchical structure.
A safe and accessible place to meet others of like minds and beliefs is critical and inevitable in today’s fractured and polarized world. The opportunity to create a vast community of religious believers exists with a seamless, end-to-end digital worship experience. In order to achieve that goal, the NFTs of the Holy Bible are the first step.
The First Religion in the NFT Universe
Known as NFTs, non-fungible tokens first appeared in 2014 but gained real traction in 2017 with the launch of the CryptoPunk NFT collection. It was initially greeted with skepticism, but the industry went from strength to strength by 2021. A staggering $41 billion was spent last year on the NFT market, led by institutions like Christie’s and Sotheby’s.
NFT’s reputation has been boosted greatly by the buzz surrounding the Metaverse. NFT sales on OpenSea, the biggest NFT marketplace, reached $4.8 billion in January, with art and avatars ready for the metaverse proving especially popular. A number of other metaverse-related NFTs, such as the virtual land on Decentraland, are in demand as well.
